Dietrich Bonhoeffer retreat:

Dorothy Day (1897-1980): co-founder of the Catholic Worker, an anarchist,
pacifist, lay Catholic Christian movement, and founder and editor of
the newspaper by the same name, she was also a person of prayer whose Roman Catholic religious
observance cannot be separated from her work for social and economic
justice and peace or from what Christian tradition calls “the works of
mercy.”
Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945): pastor, theologian, and anti-Nazi resister at a time when a great majority of the Protestant churches in Germany had allied themselves with the violent dictatorship in their nation. His short life and many writings have
become known around the world, from South Africa to South Korea to the
U.S and Canada.
